PTE Academic Test Format

The PTE Academic test is divided into three main parts, with a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Part 1: Speaking & Writing (77–93 minutes)

  • Personal Introduction: Introduce yourself (not scored but sent to institutions).
  • Tasks: Read aloud, repeat sentences, describe images, re-tell lectures, answer short questions, and write essays.

Part 2: Reading (32–40 minutes)
